What are The Home Remedies to Get Your Dark Circles Removed?
Dark circles come under the eyes the moment one feels tired and not getting enough sleep. There are many reasons for their appearance, it could be stress, hereditary, change in the life style, hormonal alterations, less sleep, sun exposure, reduction of collagen and fat levels, hay fever and many more.
The moment these appear, a man or a lady do get embarrassed. If you ignore them, they can become a permanent dark spot that tarnishes your image in the public. There are lots of medicines available in the market, but for some people who have a very fragile skin, medicines don’t work nicely. They have to rely on some home remedies, which can rectify their appearance. A few can change their life style and sleep more, change in mood and not to rub the eyes more often. Women tend to remove the dark circles by using make up kits, but that doesn’t remove the basic root. You have to try some drastic medicine, which can just make them vanish into the thin air, in a natural way. Let’s discuss some of the home remedies, which make these dark circles vanish:
1. Cold Tea Bags
Cold tea bags can prove to be great in removing the dark circles under your eyes. First take 2 tea bags, prefer chamomile ones, and soak them in a glass of water. Now put this glass in a refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then, take the tea bags out and place them over your eyes for about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep your eyes closed, then rinse your eyes the moment you remove the tea bags. This exercise should be done once or twice a day and better be regular. After a few weeks you are going to get some positive results.
2. Mint Leaves
If you have never used anything that contains mint, it will cause a tingling sensation on your skin. This sensation increases the blood flow of the area infected, it helps in removing the dark circles. First, mash up some mint leaves and make a paste. Mix some Olive oil or honey to this paste for more effects. Apply this paste under your eyes. Close your eyes and take rest for about 5 minutes, then rinse your eyes with cold water. Within a few weeks, the results will show.
3. Cold Milk
Milk can prove to be too beneficial for you in removing the dark circles under your eyes as it has great properties like cleaning, conditioning, moisturizing, nurture and remove the dark circles in layers, slowly. It also contains certain Vitamins that help in making new skin cells, repair skin tissue and make your skin more flexible. Take 2 cotton balls and soak them in cold milk, now cover your dark circles with them. Keep lying for 20 minutes then rinse your eyes with cold water and pat dry them with a soft towel. If you don’t have the milk, you can follow the same procedure with almond milk. It should be done at least thrice a day, you will see the difference in a few weeks.
4. Nutmeg and Milk
Nutmeg is really helpful in removing the dark circles under the eyes as it has many Vitamins like A, B and C and safrole, elemicin and eugenol, which all together help in removing the dark circles. Make a paste with half a spoon of Nutmeg and equal amount of milk. Gently rub this paste under your eyes and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse your eyes with lukewarm water. Repeat this procedure for at least 3 times a week
5. Tomatoes and Lemon
Tomatoes have a good bleaching effects, its lightening agents when gets mixed up with Lemon’s Vitamin C, can help to rejuvenate your skin, where you have the dark circles. Take 1 teaspoon of Tomato juice and mix it with half a spoon of Lemon juice. Rub this mixture on your dark circles and stay still for about 20 minutes. Then rinse the eyes with cold water. Follow this procedure twice a day for at least a week. See the difference in your skin after a week.
When you visit a spa, you see many people sitting with Cucumber over their eyes. It plays a vital role in smoothening the eyes and their dark circles. It has sharp properties which can reinforce your lose skin, thus help in removing the dark circles. Cut the Cucumber into slices and keep it in a refrigerator for 30 minutes. Take these slices and put them on your dark area for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse off your eyes with plain water. This procedure should be followed at least twice a day. See the glamour returning on your skin after a week.
7. Crushed Almonds with Milk
Almonds also have anti-inflammatory merits that help in reducing puffiness. It can bleach the dark spots, moisturizes it and keep it looking flexible and young. First soak a few Almonds in water and let them remain there for the whole night. In the morning they will become soft, mash them up and make a paste by adding some milk to it. Rub this paste on the dark circles and let it remain there for about 10 minutes. Rinse the eyes after 10 minutes and repeat this method for 3 times a week.
8. Orange Juice
Orange juice is another supplement that eradicates the dark circles effectively. Get a bowl with 3-4 spoon full of orange juice and mix a few drops of glycerin to it. Apply it on the dark circles and see them disappearing after some time. This process should be done regularly. It not only diminish the dark circles, but will also bring a natural glow to your eyes.
9. Yoga or Meditation
One of the best reason for the appearance of these dark circles is anxiety, depression and a busy life schedule. All these remedies will not work that effectively, unless you have cool mind to deal with them. Some asanas of Yoga help you lose some stress and increase the focus and this stress buster comes in handy in extraction of the dark circles. Yoga should be done regularly to reap in maximum benefits. It not only removes the dark circles, but makes you do your job with more enthusiasm.
All these efforts should be done precisely, to gain the color of your skin that you have lost, if you find yourself in doldrums, a visit to a doctor becomes more meaningful.
