INTRODUCTION TO BLEPHAROSPASM

Blepharospasm is a neurological disorder which affects the muscles around the eyes causing uncontrolled movements of the muscles and twitching of eyelids which comes and goes from time to time. In an advanced and worse scenario it becomes difficult for the person to keep the eyes open for long or even open them. Blepharospasm directly does not cause blindness or affect vision but it can cause functional blindness due to the inability of opening the eyes.
