The ANA test can be helpful to check the status of the problem  ANA is an antinuclear antibody test. If it comes positive it means antibodies are attacking the healthy cells of our own body. Blood tests may also reveal inflammation in the body. Moreover, there is no certain significant test.

Ayurvedic Aspect

According to the Ayurvedic aspect, Myositis can be correlated with Mansdhatu vikriti. In ayurvedic classics, 7 dhatus are broadly explained by acharyas. Rasa, rakta, Mans, Meda, Asthi, Maja, and Shukra are the names of those 7 dhatus. So accordingly mansdhatu is formed after rasa and rakta dhatu. The poor status of rasa and rakta dhatu may lead to deprivation of mansdhatu in the body. The concept behind it is an accumulation of Aamdosha. The ama dosha accumulated in the body strotas (Channels) lead to vitiation of dosha. The aggravated Vata dosha and deprived Kapha dosha may lead to poor status of body muscles. Hence we can say that due to the impaired status of rasa and rakta, the vitiation of doshas and inflammation due to ama dosha may lead to mansvikriti.

Management point of view focused on the cleansing of Aamdosha means to drain out the toxins from the body and increasing the strength of the body with balya (Strengthening herbs) aushad of Ayurveda like Musli (Chlorophytum borivilianum). Following are the herbal combinations of Planet Ayurveda which lead to lower inflammation by draining toxins and improving the muscle mass in the body.
